Priorities

Fire Protection

Maintaining fire protection for residents and safety for firefighters is a priority for me. This means ensuring our staffing levels are appropriately resourced to respond timely and safely when emergencies happen. Our fire department resources need to increase as the community grows and we see development such as housing densification, industrial warehouses, and the risks associated with CP rail and the industrial park.

Public Safety

Pitt Meadows will soon be welcoming our own RCMP detachment with a focus on policing that is dedicated to Pitt Meadows. This will increase visibility of the police in community, enhance crime prevention and timely response.

Road & Rail

We are excited to see the development of the underpass after years of waiting for trains and the knowledge that there will be increased trains in the coming years. We need to continue to advocate for mitigation for air quality, noise and vibration impacts due to increased trains. As a current council we unanimously oppose the development of the CP Industrial park and will continue to remain strong on this position.

Parks & Recreation

I enjoy the many trails, parks, dikes and waterways we have in Pitt Meadows. I participate on the Active Transportation Committee, Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee and the Metro Regional Parks Committee. I will continue to advocate for spaces where we can be active, breathe in nature, and enjoy meeting friends and family in parks. and facilities.

Truth & Reconciliation

I stand with First Nations, Metis and Inuit People in the spirit of Truth & Reconciliation and commit to honoring this in my decision making. I acknowledge with gratitude, that I am on the territory of the Katzie First Nation people and am blessed to work, live and play on these lands.

Opportunities

I proudly support education, training and economic development such as aviation opportunities at the Pitt Meadows Airport. As a mom of a pilot, I have witnessed the hard work that goes into this industry. YPK provides wonderful training experiences for young pilots at any stage of their career.
